Mt. River Ranch
How we began..... In 1986 we started off with a cute, fun little 4-H project. 2 nubian goats, one wether and a doe. Then we fell in Love with 3 cute, no eared, LaMancha goats. We decided to stay with the LaManchas, and in 1989, we purchased our first Alpines, We needed milk for our newborn premie son, as soon as he came home from hospital, he was put on goat milk since he couldn't do any kind of formula. All our Children & grand Children, have been raised on goat milk and allergies are alot better now! We have had several permanent Champions, and one best in show. IN 1999, we had 72 GCH & 99 RGCH, to add to our list, 3 children showing active in the 4-H, open and major shows. We had added Toggenburgs and Oberhauslis to our herd. We decided in 2013, we needed goat milk for grand children, so we decided to go with a recorded grade LaMancha. Back in the show ring we go....... now we have some excellent LaMancha does, & bucks from herds that produce wonderful udders, milk, and show winners! Now we have the 4th generation in our family showing . So excited for the future!
